Jaw Joint / Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction (TMD) / Pain Dysfunction Syndrome (TMJ PDS)The temporomandibular joint (TMJ) or jaw joint can suffer from pain, clicking and limited mouth opening due to functional problems or actual joint disease. The management of TMJ related facial pain can be complex and require expert training in this area to diagnose and treat effectively. Management can range from conservative splint therapy, muscle injections, joint wash-outs / arthrocentesis and arthroscopy to open joint surgery. The area of expertise we provide is based on sound medical knowledge and surgical management in addition to dental treatment of the condition.
